As well as being able to capture still photos and movie footage at a very fast speed the Casio Exilim EX-FC100 offers a 5x optical zoom lens with image stabilisation built into the camera. It can also capture high definition movies. Casio has included a 9 megapixel sensor for the Exilim EX-FC100, plus a 2.7 inch LCD screen.
Recording times are up to 30 frames per second for still images and up to 1000 frames per second for movies. To capture still photos at this speed you need to reduce the resolution you are shooting at to 6 megapixels. Both the rates for still images and movie footage are much faster than you find on more conventional digital cameras from other brands. They truly give you an edge when photographing fast movie subjects. These can include sports and wildlife.
To go with the high speed movie mode is a slow motion playback mode. This allows you to slow the movies right down and play them back. This allows you to spot action that you may be unable to see when played back at real time. |
