Digital cameras do not come much simpler that the Fuji Finepix A170. Compared with other basic point and shoot cameras the Finepix A170 has a slim body shape and compact sized. This means you should have no problem popping it into a pocket, so you can carry it round with you ready for the next photo opportunity.
Standard features include a 10 megapixel sensor and a 3x optical zoom lens. In theory you should be able to make A3 prints with this number of megapixels, although with one eye on picture quality A4 sized prints are probably more realistic.
The LCD screen is a good size at 2.7 inches. That is currently about the standard size for this type of digital camera. The more basic feature set means you do not pay for features you are unlikely to use and it also helps to make the Finepix A170 easy to use. Features that you do have access to include face detection, automatic red eye removal and a movie mode that can capture short clips with sound.
Power is supplied by two AA batteries. There is a small amount of memory built into the camera (10mb). The Finepix A170 is compatible with SD and SDHC memory cards. |
