The Nikon Coolpix P60 offers great value for money. It has a small amount of extra zoom over most similarly priced cameras with 5x optical zoom. In addition it has a manual exposure mode allowing you to set the shutter speed and aperture size. If you prefer you can still shoot in fully automatic mode allowing the Coolpix P60 to get on with the job and make all the exposure related decisions.
Other important features include a 2.5 inch LCD screen and automatic red eye reduction. As well as the LCD screen there is a viewfinder if you prefer lining up your shots the traditional way. The automatic red eye reduction tries to detect any red eye in a portrait photo taken using flash. It will attempt to remove red eye.
For improved portrait shots Nikon have incorporated face detection processing into the Coolpix P60. It also includes a feature called D Lighting. This is applied to photographs after they have been taken to brighten dark shots. |
