The Nikon Coolpix P6000 is the most advanced compact digital camera in the Nikon range. It boosts a number of features that you normally associate with a Digital SLR camera.
The Coolpix P6000 has 13 megapixels and a 4x wide angle zoom lens. So many pixels give you the option of making extra large prints or cropping your photos and still having an image large enough to make a print with. In order to squeeze in so many pixels Nikon have introduced a larger sensor than you normally find in a compact camera.
In terms of features the Coolpix P6000 has a full range of manual exposure controls including shutter priority and aperture priority.
With its set of features and price tag I can see the Coolpix P6000 appealing to more serious photographers and perhaps anyone who already has a Digital SLR and is looking for a more convenient second camera to capture photos when it is not possible or desirable to carry a larger camera.
Power is supplied by a lithium ion battery. Images can be stored either internally or on SD or SDHC memory cards. The Coolpix P6000 also offers the choice of an optical viewfinder or a 2.7 inch LCD screen. |
