The Olympus MJU Tough 8010 is waterproof to depths of 10m and shockproof to drops of 2m. Further protection is offered as the MJU Tough 8010 is freezeproof to -10 degrees centigrade and crushproof to 100kg. These features make the camera ideal for using in demanding conditions.
There is also a wide range of more standard features such as 14 megapixels and a 5x wide angle lens. The focal length of the lens is equivalent to 28 – 140mm in 35mm format. Image stabilisation is available and photos are composed using a 2.7 inch LCD screen.
Olympus has built a considerable amount of memory into the MJU Tough 8010 with 1.6GB available for storing photos and movie clips. The camera is also compatible with SD memory cards. As this gives you the opportunity to store a considerable number of photos Olympus has introduced a feature that allows you to tag photos by face, place or event. This means you are able to group your photos for easier recall at a later date.
You can shot High Definition movies and a further innovation Olympus has come up with is the ability to charge the camera via a computer USB port.
In addition Tap Control is available. This means that certain settings can be changed and features accessed by tapping or tilting the MJU Tough 8010. |
