The Panasonic DMC FS6 comes in at the cheaper end of the Panasonic Lumix pocket camera range. The DMC FS6 has 8 megapixels and a 4x optical zoom lens. It has a fairly typical specification for this type of camera although Panasonic do include one or two extras such as image stabilisation.
The camera is aimed at anyone who is looking for a point and shoot digital camera without too many bells and whistles. Picture quality is likely to be good enough for most standard snapshots.
Other features include a 2.5 inch LCD screen and a face detection mode. When the camera is placed in face detection mode the DMC FS6 will focus on the faces in the photo and also adjust the lighting so that the faces are properly exposed. Automatic red eye removal is also available. This helps you to avoid photos blighted by red eye when flash is used.
Panasonic claim that the battery should be able to take up to 400 shots between charges. This is an impressive number of shots. |
